OVER THE YEARS: Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan became every girl’s pin-up boy with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, wowed foreign shores with Lagaan and gave Bollywood the Rs 300 crore club.

That's so cute (1988): Aamir's innocent face and chocolate boy looks took the nation by storm and won him a huge female fan following. He became the quintessential boy next door, and maintained the look through the 1990s.
Khan goes trendy (2001): Aamir's sleek spikes and goatee became a rage among youngsters who rushed to salons to get the actor's suave metrosexual look that remains a trend even today.

Win some, lose some (2005): The actor's face and eyes became noticeably puffy. But his hairstyle - long curly hair with side burns - for Fanaa, became famous. His colourful shirts and handspun mufflers became quite a trend, especially among college-goers.

Bodylicious (2008): Aamir was back to being the pin-up boy with his perfectly chiselled body and sculpted eight pack abs. He worked out for over a year to get the look. Even the 'Ghajini hairstyle' - a near bald crew cut with scars - sparked off a trend. Also, the cosmetic surgery rumour hit Aamir around this time.

Moustached, cropped looks (2011): Aamir's handlebar moustache, which he flaunted most of last year, became quite a talking point. Style critics gave the actor a thumbs up for the sauve, chic look, complete with short, cropped hair. Aamir was sporting this look for his upcoming film - Talaash.

Fit and Stylish (2012): Aamir is getting into shape for his negative character in Dhoom 3.  He has been spotted flaunting stylish clothes, from colourful tees to hats and bright trousers.
